Course Description
Most agree that one of the major challenges in the workplace is delivering unwanted or unpleasant messages. This two-day course provides a framework and the necessary communication tools to help participants successfully conduct difficult or critical conversations.
MAJOR COURSE OBJECTIVES
The course is designed to enable participants to:
- Explore various communication styles and how to recognize them
- Discuss which communication techniques are best to use for each style
- Identify a performance problem that requires a critical or difficult conversation
- Discuss and practice using critical conversation tools
- Experience (through team exercises) the principles of effective communications
- Recognize which communication processes to implement when handling difficult/critical conversations
- Create a Personal Improvement Plan to help with difficult/critical conversations
