Organizations dynamics and behaviors have drastically changed in the 21st century as a result of globalizations, new laws and social expectations and requirements. The 21st Century manager faces new challenges to maintain effectiveness in dealing with many issues not previously faced by previous generation managers. The material provided in this class is structured to provide a lean and efficient coverage of many topics such as diversity, motivation, ethics, politics and power, leadership, managing people in a global economy, and the implications of globalization as well as the environment. The topics are recommended by the Association of Collegiate Business Schools and Programs (ACBSP).
Throughout the modules there are many topics that encourage active learning as well as skills and best practices. The material is largely based on the book Organizational Behavior: key concepts, skills and best practice/Angelo Kiniki, Robert Kreiner-4th edition
